EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique

Tapping (EFT) is a technique that can be successfully used to reduce stress and other symptoms. The technique combines cognitive and exposure therapy with tapping (using your fingertips) on various acupressure points. It is a blend of the best from the East and the West.

Tapping (EFT) is a special technique developed by Cary Craig and later further developed by Roger Callahan, USA.

Traumas and negative experiences often manifest as anxiety, doubt, and negative expectations. Barriers that prevent you from creating a positive and bright future. Meridian tapping (EFT) releases these negative, emotionally charged memories – it actually neutralizes the memories and changes their form. You will still remember what happened, but you won’t associate the emotions with your body in the same way as before. When you let go and allow yourself to engage in the tapping process, you will often feel the release and change in a short time. It becomes possible for you to see yourself and the world with fresh eyes.

EFT/Tapping and other Energy-Psychological Methods

Works on both a psychological level and a physiological-energy level to quickly release or neutralize a thought, feeling, or physical experience that has become persistent and disturbing. The same tapping technique can also be used to reprogram the mind. A reprogramming to accept a new thought, idea, or belief that you consciously choose to have. By bringing together the powerful brain functions: intention and reasoning, expressed through language, with the physical act of tapping on the points. We send signals to the part of the brain that controls the survival instinct, known as the “fight/flight/freeze” response.

The method is extremely effective in changing any negative beliefs you have stored in your subconscious due to your upbringing. Your behavior is controlled by “your conscious self” with only 5%, while your subconscious controls the rest of your appearance with 95%. Everything you were exposed to in the years 0-6 has been stored in your subconscious. It may even be events you can no longer remember. They are still very active in your body and subconscious.

So when you experience a situation that resembles the bodily memory of a previous episode. You will act based on the coding your body made back then. “Fight or flight behavior” is activated – and you act as you do, not only because of the new episode but also because the old codings are activated. This can lead to increased anxiety and stress levels, which can contribute to making some irrational decisions, etc.
